Background
Lactalis American Group, an international cheese company, came to Works to develop the visual identity of their new Président cheese line



The Work
Works provided 7 unique concepts, each fulfilling the brief while maintaining their own individual stories.
We explored overall brand identity, hierarchy, and photography, as well as packaging windows. Gourmet Pairings presented a unique challenge because in addition to being a new product, the project also required the introduction of a new behavior. Along with the Lactalis team, we helped to determine the language to communicate to the consumer that these cheeses were soft, spreadable and dippable.
Once the concept direction was chosen, we spun this out to the other two varieties. We then shot photography for the pack and supporting materials in our 3500 square foot studio.
The Deliverables
The launch spanned 3 varieties across multiple channels.
The initial launch was across three SKUs for retail. At the same time, one of these SKUs was sold into the club channel. We continued to help the brand team establish a club pack look and feel, and we altered the messaging a bit to cater to this shopper. We also created a display tray.
In addition to handing off all production-ready packaging files to the printer, Works created assets for sales materials to support the launch and retail standards to be provided to retail staff.
